The iPads have built-in wi-fi. If you already have wi-fi in your house you are good to go.

    The iPad has Wi-Fi built into it as standard.

    There are 2 iPad variations, Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi with 3G. The 3G version allows wireless access via the mobile phone network, but this normally requires a contract.
